EXPLORING THE AESTHETICS OF KARURA FOREST (UNGSS)

On the 6th of December, The University of Nairobi Geography Students Society (UNGSS) explored the breathtaking beauty of Karura Forest. We delved into its rich history, current challenges, and the impacts that it has to the community as an urban green space. 
 
From serene trails to thrilling team-building activities just to mention a football match between the students that was equally enjoyable. It was a day filled with knowledge and fun.

Kenya celebrated world wetlands day on 2nd February to promote conservation and sustainable utilization of wetlands. The theme for the world wetlands day 2021 was wetlands and water. This year the world wetlands day was celebrated at Sabaki Estruary, Kilifi County organized by NEMA. The day marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on February 2,1971 in the Iranian City of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea
